Part 1:
Identifying the ProblemStep 1
Offer to help Martin.
Talk to other farmers.
Tell Martin what they said.Talk to Martin in Draynor Village square. He tells you about a problem he is facing (Picture). Offer to help and he'll tell you about a problem in the decrease of his yield of his Rose bushes. Not only are his plants affected, almost every other gardener has the same problem. He asks you to find out what is causing the trouble and try to rectify it (Picture).

Go to a few of the other gardeners. It doesn't matter who, as long as you talk to five RuneScape gardeners. They will each tell you their thoughts about the problem. When you get to the 5th farmer, they will reveal the secret in just one word: Fairies (Picture).

Go back and talk to Martin and tell him all that you have learned. He will tell you to talk to a Fairy. Head over to Zanaris (The Lost City).

Part 2:
The Queen's IllnessStep 2
Talk to Fairy Godfather.
Talk to Fairy Nuff.
Talk to Zandar in the Dark Wizard Tower.
Go to the Throne Room - the area with the Slayer Master - and talk to the Fairy Godfather. Ask him questions and he'll tell you that the Fairy Queen is sick. He then tells you about Tanglefoot and about the Queen going to kill it. However, something went wrong, and the Queen got hurt (Picture). He tells you to talk to Fairy Nuff, who is north of the Bank.

Go to Fairy Nuff and talk to her. Even after telling her about being a Mighty Adventurer, she needs your help (Picture). She tells you about the Queen's symptoms and asks you to speak to Zandar Horfyre, a mage who spent many years studying magical illnesses (Picture). She also gives you a list of the Queen's symptoms.

Zandar is in the Dark Wizards tower near Falador. Teleport to Falador, go to the western wall and climb through the broken wall. Go southwest a little and you'll come to the Dark Wizards' Tower. Go to the topmost floor and speak to him (Picture). He refuses to help, but when he hears that Fairy Nuff sent you he will change his mind. You will automatically give him the list of the Queen's symptoms.

He tells you that the Fairies have a life essence of pure magic. It seems like Tanglefoot drained her life essence, or she had lost it herself voluntarily (Picture). He tells you to talk to Malignius Mortifer, a necromancer who has fought Tanglefoot many years ago.

Part 3:
A Weapon for TanglefootStep 3
Talk to Malignius.
Get a skull, then talk to Malignius.Go talk to Malignius south of Falador, near Port Sarim. He will agree to help you if you help him first (Picture). You are to get him a skull from Draynor Manor. Go there and walk around the house to the northern fence. Use the spade on the grave there and you will get a Draynor Skull (Picture).

Take it back to Malignius and he will tell you that you can only kill the Tanglefoot with enchanted secateurs. The items you need to create these secateurs vary, and you will have to collect them and take them to the Nature Spirit.

Note: If you have a combination that includes a piece of food, bring druids pouches, or two of the item(s) so the Ghasts don't rot them.

Step 4
Go to nature spirit with items.
Kill Tanglefoot and get Queen's secateurs.
Talk to the Fairy Godfather. Items needed: Ghostspeak Amulet, previously listed needed items.

Once you have collected the requested items, head over to the nature spirit north of the curved path to Mort'ton. Equip your Amulet of Ghostspeak and talk to the spirit and ask it to enchant your secateurs. If you have all the items required he will perform the ceremony and give you Magic Secateurs (Picture).

Head to Zanaris (The Lost City) and walk towards the Cosmic ruins. You will see a leafy gap in the wall. Squeeze through it and follow the leafy path until you get to Tanglefoot (Level-111) (Picture). Kill him (you will need to have the Magic Secateurs equipped during the entire fight) and pick up the Queen's secateurs. Go talk to the Fairy Godfather and he will thank you for your help. (Picture).

Q: What do Magic Secateurs do?
A: They increase your crop yields by 10% when equipped.

I've lost my Secateurs! How can I get them back?
A: You can get your Magic Secateurs back by speaking to Malignius Mortifer again. Note that he will charge you 40,000gp in order to replace them.
